Hibikitalk ("the Service") is a web-based platform where English speakers and Japanese speakers exchange 25 minutes of language teaching. By using the Service you agree to the following terms.
1Current stage
The Service is currently in waitlist phase. Public launch is planned for October 2026. During the waitlist phase, only email registration for launch notification is available.
After launch, the Service will provide online video sessions where two speakers teach each other for 25 minutes each, exchanged through a points system.
2Eligibility
- You must be at least 13 years old
- You must provide a working email address you can access
- You must agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy
3Prohibited conduct
You agree not to:
- Register email addresses that do not belong to you
- Submit spam or bulk registrations with malicious intent
- Attempt unauthorized access, denial-of-service, or exploitation of vulnerabilities
- Use the Service to break any applicable law or infringe others' rights
- Copy, modify, or redistribute Service content without permission
4Changes and suspension
We reserve the right to change, add, remove, suspend, or postpone the Service at any time without prior notice. We are not liable for any losses you may incur as a result of such changes.
5Disclaimer
The Service is provided "as is" without any warranty, express or implied, of continuity, accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose. Except in cases of our gross negligence or willful misconduct, we are not liable for losses arising from your use of the Service.
6Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page in advance. Continued use after the change constitutes acceptance.
7Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Any disputes will be brought before the Osaka District Court as the court of first instance.
